The IPEF was launched on 23 May 2022 and currently includes 14 partners – Australia, Brunei, Fiji, India, Indonesia, Japan, Republic of Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, the US and Vietnam. It provides a platform for countries in the region to collaborate on advancing resilient, sustainable and inclusive economic growth, and aims to contribute to cooperation, stability, and prosperity in the region.

3. Ministers from all IPEF partners met from 8 to 9 September 2022 in Los Angeles and launched Ministerial Statements on the four IPEF pillars of cooperation, namely: Trade, Supply Chains, Clean Economy and Fair Economy (refer to Annex A for Ministerial Statements). In conjunction with these negotiations, IPEF partners will seek to develop pilots and projects in each of the four IPEF pillars that will provide tangible benefits for our economies.

As such, if respondents would like (i) their whole submission or part of it, or (ii) their identity, or both, to be kept confidential, please expressly state so in the submission. In addition, MTI reserves the right not to publish any submission received where MTI considers it not in the public interest to do so, such as where the submission appears to be libellous or offensive.
