Mr Patrick Tay Teck Guan: To ask the Minister for Trade and Industry in each of the next 10 years, what is the projection on the manufacturing sector’s share of (i) the GDP and (ii) the labour force.

1. The manufacturing sector accounts for about 22% of Singapore’s GDP and 13% of our total employment. MTI aims to maintain manufacturing’s share of GDP at around 20% and continue creating good manufacturing jobs for Singaporeans.
