In July 2018, MAS Core Inflation rose to 1.9% from 1.7% in the previous month, due to a larger increase in the cost of electricity & gas. 1 Despite higher core inflation, CPI-All Items inflation was unchanged from June, at 0.6%, as private road transport costs declined.
