Minister of State for Trade and Industry Mr S Iswaran will be visiting Mumbai, India, from 17 to 19 April 2007.
He will grace Ascendas’ Joint Venture Signing Ceremony sealing the creation of two IT parks in Maharashtra. He is also expected to meet with officials and Indian business leaders from Maharashtra to strengthen bilateral relations and to explore business collaboration opportunities.
His visit to India takes place amid flourishing economic ties between both countries. Catalyzed by the signing of the Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (CECA) in 2005, total trade with India reached a record S$19.9 billion in 2006.
He will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
