Minister of State
Mr Foo Cexiang is the Minister of State for Manpower and Trade and Industry, and the Member of Parliament for Tanjong Pagar Group Representation Constituency.
Prior to his appointment as Minister of State, Mr Foo was Vice President (Port Ecosystem Development) at PSA Singapore, where he led initiatives to strengthen Singapore's supply chain ecosystem. His work included the development of PSA's Supply Chain Hub, strategies relating to the Johor–Singapore Special Economic Zone, and intermodal logistics solutions to enhance Singapore's connectivity and competitiveness.
Mr Foo previously held appointments in various public agencies such as JTC Corporation, Ministry of Trade and Industry, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Transport. During his public service career, he worked on a broad range of policy areas spanning economic and industrial development, security, education, transport and future mobility. In his appointment as Director of Private and Future Mobility at the Ministry of Transport, he oversaw policy development on emerging mobility technologies and Singapore's transition towards electric vehicles.
Mr Foo holds a Master of Engineering Leadership (Urban Systems) from the University of British Columbia, and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) from Cardiff University.
As a father of three young children, Mr Foo is passionate about building a better future for the next generation.
