Ms Sylvia Lim: To ask the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry whether the Ministry can provide an assessment of the status and prospects of the Lao PDR-Thailand-Malaysia-Singapore Power Integration Project to import hydropower from Laos.

1. Singapore has approved the next phase of the Lao PDR-Thailand-Malaysia-Singapore Power Integration Project. We will need the approvals from all four countries’ governments to proceed. Singapore is committed to working closely with our neighbours to advance the project.
