Question
Ms See Jinli Jean: To ask the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry in respect of the business cost structure of the Information and Communications Sector in 2022 cited in the Economic Survey of Singapore 2023, what is the percentage of such business cost spending on (i) Singapore-registered businesses for the item “Professional Services” and (ii) Singaporeans for the item “Contract labour and work given out”.

1. In the Information and Communications sector, business expenditure on “Professional Services” and “Contract labour and work given out” accounted for 13.5% and 6.0% of businesses’ total operating costs respectively in 2022. A breakdown of these two cost components by types of suppliers is not available.
