Written reply to PQ on breakdown of application outcomes received for Startup SG Founder programme by age, gender and grant amount

Question: 

Mr Patrick Tay Teck Guan: To ask the Minister for Trade and Industry (Energy and Industry) in 2025 (a) how many applications were received for the Startup SG Founder (SSGF) programme; (b) how many of these applications were successful; and (c) what is the breakdown of successful applicants by (i) age group (ii) gender and (iii) grant amount received.

In 2025, Enterprise Singapore received 65 Startup SG Founder grant applications, of which 55 applications (approximately 85%) were approved. The average grant quantum awarded across the 55 successful applications was approximately S$50,000. The founders ranged from 23 to 69 years old, with 67% below 40 years old. 69% of the applicants were male.
