Mr Edward Chia Bing Hui: To ask the Minister for Trade and Industry (Energy and Industry) (a) whether, before undertaking substantial land reclamation for the proposed new western island, the Ministry has assessed the feasibility of maximising existing industrial islands through higher-density, vertical or underground infrastructure; and (b) what technical, safety, environmental or economic constraints limit the use of such alternatives.
