VISIT TO SINGAPORE BY MR PHAM QUANG NGHI, SECRETARY OF HANOI COMMUNIST PARTY

Mr Pham Quang Nghi, Secretary of Hanoi Communist Party, is in Singapore from 20 to 23 September 2008 at the invitation of Minister for Trade and Industry Mr Lim Hng Kiang. During his visit, Mr Nghi held bilateral meetings with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Minister for National Development Mah Bow Tan, and is scheduled to meet Minister Lim Hng Kiang on Tuesday. 

Mr Nghi's interests include Singapore's experience in urban development. He was briefed by the Urban Redevelopment Authority and also visited Compassvale

Mr Nghi will also be hosted to a networking lunch by International Enterprise Singapore on Tuesday.
