RELEASE OF FIRST QUARTER 2006 ECONOMIC RESULTS IN THE ECONOMIC SURVEY OF SINGAPORE

The Ministry of Trade and Industry will be releasing the economic results of first quarter 2006 on 17 May 2006 (Wednesday) at 8.00 a.m. These include the overall performance of the economy, sectoral performances, sources of growth, inflation, employment and productivity during the first quarter of 2006.

The key findings will be released on the Internet on the MTI Homepage at http://www.mti.gov.sg, the Statistics Singapore Homepage at http://www.singstat.gov.sg and the Sprinter (Singapore Press Releases on the Internet) website at http://www.sprinter.gov.sg/.
