RELEASE OF ADVANCE GDP ESTIMATES FOR SECOND QUARTER 2013

The Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) will release the advance GDP estimates[1] for the second quarter of 2013 on 12 July 2013 (Friday), at 8.00 a.m.. The press release will be available on the websites of MTI (http://www.mti.gov.sg), the Singapore Department of Statistics (http://www.singstat.gov.sg) and the SG Press Centre (https://www.sgpc.gov.sg/)

The advance GDP estimates for the second quarter of 2013 are computed largely from data in the first two months of the quarter (i.e. April and May 2013).  They are intended as an early indication of the GDP growth in the quarter, and may be revised when more comprehensive data become available. Due to incomplete data, disaggregated advance GDP estimates will be available for the manufacturing, construction and services producing industries only.
