PREPARATORY MEETING FOR THE 2ND GCC-SINGAPORE FTA (GSFTA)
JOINT COMMITTEE MEETING IN SINGAPORE ON 25 FEBRUARY 2015
H.E. Dr Hamad Al-Bazai, Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Coordinator-General for Free Trade Agreement (FTA) Negotiations, Secretariat-General visited Singapore on 25th February 2015 to co-chair the Preparatory Meeting for the 2nd GCC-Singapore FTA (GSFTA) Joint Committee Meeting.
His Excellency met with Senior Minister of State for Trade and Industry Lee Yi Shyan to discuss the progress of the implementation of the GSFTA, among other issues. They had a full and productive meeting.
Both were pleased to note the GCC member states have made remarkable progress towards the full implementation of the GSFTA. The target date for the full implementation of the preferential tariff lines will be 1st April 2015.
