MTI Maintains 2014 GDP Growth Forecast at 2.0 to 4.0 Per Cent

20 February 2014. The Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) announced today that the Singapore economy grew by 4.1 per cent in 2013. MTI has also maintained the growth forecast for 2014 at 2.0 to 4.0 per cent.
Performance in Fourth Quarter 2013
On a year-on-year basis, the Singapore economy grew by 5.5 per cent in the fourth quarter of 2013, easing slightly from the 5.8 per cent growth in the preceding quarter. On a quarter-on-quarter seasonally-adjusted annualised basis, the economy grew by 6.1 per cent, significantly higher than the 0.3 percent growth in the previous quarter.
