新加坡福建会馆创会于1840年，创会160多年来，它先后创办的道南学校、爱同学校、崇福学校、南侨中学、南侨小学和光华学校，并在1955年捐地523亩创办南洋大学，可以说为新加坡的教育事业，做出伟大的贡献。
