Ministry of Trade and Industry Singapore and China Atomic Energy Authority sign Memorandum of Understanding

The Memorandum of Understanding supports the development of capabilities to make an assessment on the deployment of nuclear energy.
The Ministry of Trade and Industry Singapore (MTI) and the China Atomic Energy Authority (CAEA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on cooperation in the peaceful uses of nuclear technology on 17 August 2026. The MOU was signed by MTI’s Permanent Secretary (Energy & Trade) Mr Augustin Lee and CAEA Vice-Chairman Mr Liu Jing. The signing was witnessed by Singapore’s Minister for Trade and Industry (Energy and Industry) Dr Tan See Leng and CAEA Chairman Mr Shan Zhongde.
