Launch of the Manpower for Strategic Economic Priorities (M-SEP) scheme to support firms’ expansion plans

As announced at the Ministry of Manpower’s (MOM) COS 2022, M-SEP is a scheme by MTI, MOM and selected economic agencies to support firms in undertaking ambitious investment, innovation, or internationalisation activities. This would include firms that participate in schemes such as EnterpriseSG’s Scale-Up SG and EDB’s Research and Innovation Scheme for Companies. This scheme will provide such firms with some flexibility to hire S Pass and Work Permit Holders beyond the prevailing Dependency Ratio Ceilings for a limited period of time.
