PERFORMANCE OF THE SINGAPORE ECONOMY IN SECOND QUARTER 2006 AND OUTLOOK FOR 2006

Overall Performance: The Singapore economy grew at a more moderate pace of 8.1% in 2Q06, compared to 10.8% in 1Q06. The growth momentum (on an annualised quarter-on-quarter basis) also slowed to 3.0%, down from 7.6% in 1Q06.
