Alliance for Action on Business Competitiveness

The Alliance for Action (AfA) on Business Competitiveness was jointly established by the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) and the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) in February this year, to explore potential ways to strengthen Singapore’s business competitiveness across key areas like manpower, land and regulations. Co-led by SMS Low Yen Ling and Mr Mark Lee, the AfA comprised 19 representatives from the private and public sectors.
Over the past nine months, the AfA conducted 25 engagement sessions and consulted over 100 business leaders, 13 Trade Associations and Chambers and 17 public agencies across various sectors.
The AfA has recently concluded its report and put forth 27 recommendations on manpower, land, and regulatory issues. The report was launched on 1 Nov 2024.
