FAQs
Q1. What happens after I submit my suggestion?
A1: You will receive an acknowledgement email from the PEP Secretariat and we will work with SME PEO and relevant agencies to review your suggestion.
If the information given is inadequate or unclear, the PEP Secretariat or relevant agencies will contact you for clarification. Therefore, it is advisable to be specific when providing your suggestion.
Q2. What information should be included when submitting a suggestion?
A2: To support the processing of your suggestion, it would be helpful if you could point out the exact process or regulation, identify the exact information requested or specific step in the process that is cumbersome or obsolete for businesses today.
Q3: What is the difference between the PEP and SME PEO?
A3: The PEP is a private-public panel, chaired by the Head of Civil Service, that serves as a platform for (i) the private sector members of the panel to provide direct suggestions on regulatory issues to the Government, and (ii) the public sector to share concerns about how it frames certain rules and licenses among industry peers.
The SME PEO under EnterpriseSG serves as the central coordination unit within the Government to help businesses with their suggestions on Singapore's regulations that span multiple government agencies or relate to emerging sectors where regulations are unclear or still being developed.
