Overview

Improving energy efficiency is one way in which Singapore can work towards reducing its greenhouse gas emissions, while also lowering energy costs. MTI encourages manufacturing facilities, data centres, and other businesses to undertake projects that improve their energy efficiency to sustain competitiveness in a low-carbon future.

Measures and grants

Key measures include the Energy Efficiency Grant and Resource Efficiency Grant for Emissions, designed to help companies adopt cleaner technologies and processes, reduce operational costs, and boost business competitiveness. These initiatives are administered through EnterpriseSG and the Economic Development Board (EDB), providing financial support for qualifying projects.
