Pro-Enterprise Suggestion Award

The Pro-Enterprise Suggestion Award is awarded to private sector individuals and businesses which have contributed useful feedback or suggestions to the Pro-Enterprise Panel, and corresponding Government agencies that have accepted and/or implemented the suggestions. These feedback or suggestions have reduced red tapes, enabled cost savings for businesses, facilitated innovations, or resulted in other positive outcomes for businesses.

	Feedback on Application to be listed in HDB's Directory of Renovation Contractors Housing & Development Board
	Considering the feedback on the application process for businesses to be listed on the Directory of Renovation Contractors, the Housing & Development Board (HDB) has removed the requirement to submit a photograph of premises frontage and signboard, and streamlined its internal approach of evaluating the projects submitted by the applicant. In addition to making the application process simpler, applicants can also find out the outcome of their applications more readily.

	Use of Digital Payments for the Purchase of Metal Ministry of Home Affairs
	Arising from a suggestion, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) reviewed the relevant clauses of the Secondhand Goods Dealers Rules and removed the requirement that payment shall be via crossed cheque only. With the amended rules that came into force on 2 February 2021, secondhand goods dealers can now use other payment methods for their purchases of secondhand goods. This is a step in the right direction to facilitate the overall nationwide push towards digital payments.
